The bidirectional communication between units allows a primary CN-1800S to control multiple secondary units across an installation, ensuring synchronized power sequencing. This feature is ideal for complex commercial environments where different areas or devices need to be powered up or down in a specific order. Units can communicate over distances exceeding 1,000 feet and are fully backward compatible with legacy sequencers, making the CN-1800S a versatile addition to any setup.
The CN-1800S also includes a comprehensive set of protection features. Series Multi-Stage Protection (SMP) technology provides the highest level of protection against surges and spikes, shielding sensitive equipment from potentially damaging electrical disturbances. Additionally, the unit incorporates Linear Filtration Technology (LiFT), which reduces AC noise across a wide bandwidth, delivering superior audio and video clarity.
For voltage protection, the Extreme Voltage Shutdown (EVS) circuitry automatically powers down the unit and connected devices during unsafe voltage conditions, safeguarding equipment from harm. Diagnostic lights on the front panel provide real-time information on system performance, including power quality, protection status, and voltage warnings, enabling users to easily monitor system health.
With nine total outlets—eight on the rear panel and one on the front—the CN-1800S offers ample connectivity for various devices. It supports up to 15 amps of output current, protected by a thermal circuit breaker. For added versatility, the unit is equipped with RS-232 ports and a command set, allowing integration with third-party control systems and open-source programming.
